How does neural therapy work?

The nervous system sends information to different tissues and organs of the body and plays a significant role in mental, emotional, social, and cultural processes, being vital for human health integration.

There are multiple irritations in the nervous system due to infections, post-surgery, scars, fractures, dental abnormalities (TMJ: temporomandibular joint), emotional disorders, etc., which can create conditions for the appearance of dysfunctions with local or distant manifestations (for example, a hernia scar can produce referred pain to the knee).

The goal of Neural Therapy is to neutralize these irritations that affect the neurovegetative tone and trigger or favor the appearance of various diseases.

To neutralize these irritations, a highly diluted local anesthetic (usually 1% or 0.5% procaine hydrochloride), which has a high electrical potential (290mV), is used and injected in micro-doses specifically at points that are considered to be most irritated and could be determining factors in the disease. Procaine repolarizes and stabilizes the membrane potential, allowing for the recovery and stabilization of the nervous system. The restoration of the functions of the nervous system enables it to once again perform its regulatory and healing functions.

Since all nerves are interconnected, forming a neural network of information, any irritation in one part of this network can disrupt the functioning of the entire network, similar to a short circuit in an electrical grid. These short circuits are called Fields of Interference.

The improvement achieved with Neural Therapy can be immediate and tends to increase with repetition until achieving metabolic, vascular, and nervous regulation. Neural therapy constitutes a therapeutic approach with good, functional, and safe results.
